WILLOWS HOME
AN Inspired APPROACH TO MEMORY CARE

Memory Care
COMMUNITY
The Willows is different from traditional memory-care communities both inside and out. The exterior and entry reflects the Tudor-style architecture typical of many area homes. There are two outdoor courtyards with walking paths bordered by seasonal blooming gardens. These and other facilities offer Residents the freedom to interact with nature in settings that are both comforting and secure.
Just beyond the main entry, you can find snacks and refreshments at The Bistro along with a Mediterranean-style fountain and courtyard. For a full meal, there is a country-style kitchen flanked by two open and comfortable dining rooms. The campus also features a living room with two ample activity rooms for both socializing and relaxing. Each of the 34 spacious Resident Suites is designed for single occupancy with private bathrooms and a shower. The combination of safety and comfort make these rooms inviting to Residents while improving the level of care they receive.

A TYPICAL DAY
The Willows combines an expertly trained staff with the finest lifestyle programs tailored to each Resident’s abilities and strengths. Daily routines support individual choices with flexible meals and an extensive, customizable activity schedule. Residents always have the opportunity to enjoy fun and therapeutic recreation in groups as well as in one-to-one activities.
A few of the programs designed to encourage Resident activity and promote good health include, yoga, stretching, and massage therapy. As for the cognitive and creative side, The Willows offers daily Words of Inspiration, art and music classes, and chair exercises, among others. For those who have a hobby or a gaming spirit, there are many ways to connect with others or work on a craft. No matter what individual preferences a Resident may have, there is always something to do and new ways to promote mental and physical well being.

OUR MEMORY CARE STAFF
The key difference between The Willows and other memory-care communities is a progressive, person-centered approach. A staff trained in geriatric care, as well as cognitive and restorative therapies, is always looking for ways to honor connections with the past while exploring new interests.
These qualified health professionals commit to knowing and honoring each and every individual. They begin with a sophisticated assessment to identify a person’s personal lifestyle preferences as well as their current cognitive and physical capabilities.
They strive to learn each person’s unique Life Story including professional background, hobbies, special interests, personality traits, values, family stories and daily activities—everything that makes that person unique.
Based on each person’s own preferences and abilities, The Willows develops a comprehensive plan with the area’s finest physical, occupational and speech therapy services. Routines are flexible and can continuously adapt to support successful experiences that promote the highest degree of independence, dignity and safety.
